Idol Ninja follows the tale of a former top-tier idol, Neoma, who secretly trained as a ninja. After years of being out of the limelight, they’ve returned for their first big concert in ages. However, things take a dark turn when the crowd of adoring fans becomes overwhelming, and a mysterious group of obsessive fans, known as the “Frenzied,” storms the stage with a dangerous intensity. These aren’t just regular fans—they’ve been manipulated by a shadowy figure who has a personal vendetta against the idol, turning the concert into a chaotic battleground. As Neoma, hack n slash using your deady mic-scythe to fend off against the ever-growing hoard until the concert is over!
I provided a generalist role in developing the game. I developed the control scheme for the player and programmed the functionality of the weapons in your arsenal such as the special attack. I was also in charge of gamepad support for both in-game and ui which I implemented myself. In the latter half of the project I was also in charge of implmenting Neoma's animations into blendspaces and state machines aswell as implemeting particles for Neoma and her attacks.
